I took this course as part of the Meteorology and Climatology certificate that I am pursuing. With it being online, I expected it to be relatively easy and boring, and that's what I got. Every single assignment is through Pearson online, which at first was interesting but towards the end of the semester I found myself wanting to get the modules over and done with.
As mentioned before, every single assignment is through Pearson, which is a pain to connect to sometimes, as it will randomly decide to not work some days. Every week we are assigned a module to do, with each module consisting of: - (1) reading assignment (which isn't graded); - (1) homework assignment, which is always a combination of multiple choice and fill in the diagram questions (these range anywhere from 20 mins to over an hour of work depending on the module); - (1) mapping activity, that consists of MapMaster assignments (which are really easy once you get the hang of the program), and Google Earth based questions, which I found to be tedious. I've never talked to nor otherwise communicated to her, so I can't really speak to her relevance to the course. I will say that I don't believe English is her first language, but do to the extreme hands off nature that the course is structured to be, this isn't a problem.
The assignments are very repetitive, but Google is your friend.
