I took this course as part of the Meteorology and Climatology certificate that I am pursuing. With it being online, I expected it to be relatively easy and boring, and that's what I got. Every single assignment is through Pearson online, which at first was interesting but towards the end of the semester I found myself wanting to get the modules over and done with.
As mentioned before, every single assignment is through Pearson, which is a pain to connect to sometimes, as it will randomly decide to not work some days. Every week we are assigned a module to do, with each module consisting of: - (1) reading assignment (which isn't graded); - (1) homework assignment, which is always a combination of multiple choice and fill in the diagram questions (these range anywhere from 20 mins to over an hour of work depending on the module); - (1) mapping activity, that consists of MapMaster assignments (which are really easy once you get the hang of the program), and Google Earth based questions, which I found to be tedious. I've never talked to nor otherwise communicated to her, so I can't really speak to her relevance to the course. I will say that I don't believe English is her first language, but do to the extreme hands off nature that the course is structured to be, this isn't a problem.
The assignments are very repetitive, but Google is your friend.

Prof: Keelings / Spring 2022

I loved this class! He gives so many opportunities for extra credit.
Your life in this class will revolve around the course packet you can buy. Keelings says it's optional (it's ~$80), but trust me it'll save you time. Textbook is optional and can count towards extra credit later on. I barely got homework, and I used quizlet flashcards to study for exams.
Keelings has a thick Scottish accent which makes class interesting. His voice can be boring especially if its 10 AM and you slept 5 hours, but he really tries to make his class content enjoyable. He's a funny guy. I wish that engaged the class a little more in his lectures, but otherwise I was kept on my toes trying to write notes down.
I don't think there's any way you can fail this class. He gives so many opportunities for extra credit that it's not even funny. He even does office hours (but for real). You really have to try to fail.
