I never understood why people cut themselves until this course.
The content is super interesting and it goes a lot in depth about the reasoning behind mechanisms. It's one of those courses where even if you do terribly, you still learn a lot of useful information (that you'll probably forget anyways).
Professor Dake is very, very intimidating and his lectures require you to remember everything in previous ochem courses. But, his explanations of mechanisms and concepts are very clear.
Unless you are a literal genius don't expect to get a good grade (Prof literally said that people that get A's in this course can expect to go on to get PhDs from Stanford). Only take this course when your mental health is at its peak and only if you remember every single thing about second year ochem because you will not be given any mercy.

Great course, heavily based off of Harvard Chem 206 notes by Evans.
Study from the chem 206 notes and Carey Sundburg
