Advice

OK PLEASE DON'T DO WHAT I DID AND NOT REGULARLY WATCH THE POSTED LECTURES! This class was asynchronous because of covid (ie all lectures were posted and you watch them in your own time) SO I MADE THE MISTAKE OF PUTTING IT AT THE END OF MY TO DO LIST WHICH WAS NOT SO FUN WHEN IT CAME TIME FOR MIDTERMS/FINALS. BUT DON'T WORRY this class is very doable if you make the commitment to watch the lectures as they are posted and do some practice exercises in the textbook. ALSO HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING CALC IN HS BEFORE THIS COURSE although I had lots of friends who didn't and they did fine. :)

Comments on the course

This class was pretty interesting and also pretty useful. I liked it but I know some of my peers certainly struggled with the concepts, so take this class only if you were fairly confident with high school math.

Advice

Do the practice problems from the text book, and do a LOT of them.

So much theoretical math, so little applications to commerce and social science.

Advice

Read the textbook, reread the textbook, and do it a third time.
