Comments on the course

Personally found this class super hard and had to teach myself everything since I didn’t find baboorams notes helpful. You either pay attention in the lectures or do notes you cannot do both because there’s literally one sentence per page of notes and you fill the rest yourself. I know people compliment her but it’s basically because they taught themselves after class instead of her actually teaching us, a lot of people also stopped going to lectures cause of how tedious and minimally useful they were.

Advice

She relies heavily on “previous knowledge” so you should brush up on chem 30 before going into this class

Comments on the course

There are 130 mechanisms to learn and yes, I did count them. The lab is fun though and not too difficult.

Advice

I hope you're better at memorization than me :)

Comments on the course

Organic chemistry is quite difficult, but Dr. Babooram is truly a great prof. Do her practice and you should be fine. I got ~65% on the midterm, but ended the course with an A+ (seriously).

Advice

Put in the time to understand each reaction and mechanism. Practice Practice Practice!!
