This is an amazing bird class and the professor and TA's (in my experience) is super nice! Super easy to get 100's and overall a grade booster, Really Recommend!

Lectures are mainly about discovering your future plans and guest speakers/upper years in different majors informing students on their experiences. There is a mandatory 3 hr class each week but its typically super easy and out before the 3 hrs is done.

One thing I liked about this course was the guest speakers from faculty because it allowed us to learn about different types of life sciences research that occurs at McMaster. The guest speakers from upper-year students who did LIFE SCI research practicum or placement courses was also beneficial, as were the alumni panels. The actual taught content of this course could've been covered in no more than a week though. I appreciated the evaluations in this course being science communication related as it's a very valuable skill to have. The group projects were also focused on developing crucial skills to have as a student in science, but overall I felt it was just too soft skill-focused, as much of what you'll develop are skills you already build through other coursework. Dr. Moisse is an absolute sweetheart, has the loveliest, most kind personality, and is extremely approachable.

Literally do what's expected of you and you'll get the 12
