Honestly, I learned a lot from this course. You learn about different kinds of poetry from Shakespeare's times and way before his time too. If you are able to understand Old English just fine, you shouldn't have a problem understanding this course if this course is right for you and that you are truly interested in learning more about old literature and peoms as well.

There is a lot of heavy readings and content to go through especially when you need to prepare for your midterm exam! There is no final exam but you will need to come prepare with your notes because some of them will be based on the notes that he gives you.

Peter is not a bad professor at all. But he is a really tough grader but he does give good feedback. You just need to follow his requirements in order to get a good grade.

READ EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU COME INTO HIS CLASS because if you don't read it before class, you won't understand anything that he posted. He'll also be more than happy to answer your questions just as long as you understand what you are reading. If you don't understand what you are reading, you could be screwed and get a bad grade especially on your assignments that are ridiculously heavy!
