This is a difficult course, especially if you do not have a good understanding of MATLAB. However, even if you get a low grade, you will learn a lot. Despite the difficulty, it's probably one of my favorite classes at the Engineering department that I had to take for my BSME. It is a very useful class.

Numerical Methods for Engineering, and how to use MATLAB programming to carry out those methods for various problems.

Dr. Tan uses his own textbook that he provides to students for free, and it does a very good job of explaining everything. He is also very helpful 1-on-1 and overall a very nice person.

Make sure you know how to use MATLAB very well. This course also requires a good understanding of Calculus and Differential Equations. It is not at all an easy class, but you'll still be proud of your grade after it ends (unless you fail I guess).
