Comments on the course

Graded on 3 exams, lots of homework, and extra credit (which there's a lot of). The exams were fairly easy, but the material can sometimes trip you up and be on something randomly mentioned for a second during the lectures. There are lots of extra credit opportunities that make it easy to get a good grade. Class content is very interesting. Highly recommend.

McNichols is the only prof who teaches this class and is a very caring teacher. She's very easy to get along with, and everything you learn in her class and all the assignments are very straightforward.

Absolutely the worst class at UW. All lessons all lessons were driven by a liberal, ***-positive social justice ideology that made students with dissenting views on sexuality feel marginalized and shamed by the rest of the class. Students ask their naïve questions to Dr. McNichols just to hear her spout her leftist street preaching that made UW students so attracted to taking this class. She needs to remember that INTELLECTUAL diversity, with all perspectives and political/personal beliefs and views in mind, must fall under the umbrella of “diversity” that universities love to talk about now.
