An excellent course for not only learning about nucleic acids but also for learning some lab protocols. He also provides good instructions on how to keep a proper lab notebook for those who will need that skill upon graduation.

The course covers various applications of DNA, RNA, and some protein analysis. Lab protocols are included.

Dr. Ramos provided excellent instruction while also being super chill and understanding about life issues that might come up (or students mis-reading the funky UTSA schedule format as only Thursdays instead of Tuesday & Thursday… which definitely wasn't me, at all…).

Exams were fairly basic. The main work was keeping a lab notebook and working on the semester project (mostly group, but you could opt to go solo).
