Comments on the course

I did not have a physics class in high school, so I was introduced to a lot during this class. Professor Schleter was funny and engaging. He answered all questioned thoroughly;however, there is no denying that the class is extremely difficult for most. There were few that flew through the class with very little issues, but those people took Physics or AP Physics in high school.

Course Content

The material was very useful. It introduced me to vectors and went in depth with relationships of position, velocity, and acceleration, and showed the impacts of forces through Free Body and Kinetic Diagrams. I am sure I will use the concepts from this class again.

Comments on the professor

Schleter was helpful and funny. He makes an effort to teach the material in easily understood terms. He is patient and understanding.

Advice

Do not skim over a concept that you don’t understand. It will likely reappear and you will have to understand it to be successful in that module. Take advantage of the practice exams to study and equation sheets during tests.

Comments on the course

Concepts took a moment to understand, but once you get each concept, it all works together really well. Not too difficult if you pay attention and do your work.

Course Content

Content was okay, not particularly useful for my career path, but it is definitely important for the other classes I will be taking as part of my major so useful enough.

Comments on the professor

Dr. Kumar is extremely sweet and always willing to answer questions outside of class. She genuinely wants you to do well in her class and in engineering in general.

Advice

As with most classes, the less worried you are about being perceived poorly by classmates because you participate, the better off you'll be. General life advice I guess, but important in this class especially. Participate, halfway pay attention, ask questions, and do your work. You'll be okay
