The material is abstract in some cases, but some of it is applicable to the more theoretical parts of computer science. It was mostly doing problems in the textbook through all access, about four quizzes, then two tests.
He was fine overall.
Do the all the assignments and the practices problems and you will be good for the tests.

Not a difficult course, but the difficulty is shot up with horrendous exams, and an awful professor who, with 16 years of experience, seems to have gotten worse at his job over time.
Discrete math is useful for CS and CE majors, everything is fundamentally a discrete math problem when broken down to its grassroots within this field. Because of that, this class is super useful. It's also NOT VERY DIFFICULT!
He's really bad at teaching. It's actually hysterical. He speaks perfect english, yet his ability to put together a cohersive sentence and describe what is going on is abysmal. Because of this, the class is essentially self-study.
Do all the practice problems in the textbook, and do the review he posts. He doesn't post old exams since "it will make the exams too predictable." If you do so, a B should be easy, and A won't be too far off. Study hard for the first exam, it's by far the hardest.
