Comments on the course

Good class and pretty straightforward if you follow lecture examples and don't try to do anything extra. If you do add extra features to your game or try to do something that isn't covered, it can get kind of challenging quickly. If you're familiar with unity and C# then it'll probably be really easy for you.

Prof: Nick Heizman / Summer 2025

Comments on the course

Very easy class; took it in Summer B, which was like 9 weeks, and still got a full 100%. Each week is a portion of game development (level design, sprites, effects, etc.) and can be done in a day or two.

Course Content

Learning Unity for the first time, and going through the basics of developing a game with provided coding scripts to use. If doing in Summer, you won't have time to make a "complete" game, but you will still make a game with levels and completion.

Comments on the professor

Very enthusiastic professor, makes it fun to learn game development.

Advice

Have fun with it. It's one of the classes you can use your procrastination on, but if you put interest in it, it will pay off with passion.
