Overall, the class is easy to engage with if you have any sort of knowledge in the film industry. You’re exposed to many genres of film, even some that you may not be particularly fond of, but learning about the historical context of different film genres is interesting enough to make up for any uninteresting films you may watch.

Mr. McKenna was an extremely understanding and relatively easy-going professor that loves to see students interact on their own with the course material. As long as you turn in assignments on time and demonstrate somewhat of an interest in the course material you’ll have no problem with him.

Be prepared for the work to ramp up towards the end of the semester; it’s not necessarily that difficult, but easy to fall behind on if you leave it until the last minute.
