Comments on the course

It was a pretty simple course with assignments due every week but they weren't anything difficult. Some chapters were more interesting than others, but as someone who enjoys theatre and performing, I found this class and its content to be interesting. A BIG part of your grading comes down to your TAs and mine was really nice so I practically ended with a 100.

Course Content

Just theatre history and exploring different aspects of theatre, whether it be different cultural forms of theatre, how theatre started, the foundations of theatre, and many more. You are required to see 3 in person performances and write an essay on them. The essays were honestly pretty simple and they were I believe 2 1/2 page maximums, so it's easy to get done. The worse part is probably having to read the textbook AND plays in a week, sometimes with videos and supplemental articles as well. The quizzes are 20 questions and can/will pull from all material you were required to read that week, so I suggest take note of major plot points and anything that may stand out. Some questions can get rather specific.

Never met her nor do I know what she looks like but she seemed responsive and excited about the course.
