Comments on the course

For those going into soil science or plant science, this is a required course. I thoroughly enjoyed it - some of it was difficult (a bit of physics but my plant brain managed to survive). Mine was based out of the WFREC so I'm sure that this review won't apply for the masses.

Course Content

Soil chemistry, composition, relationships between nutrient interactions, etc.,

Comments on the professor

Professor Daroub was extremely pleasant. It was sometimes difficult to get an email response back quickly (never quick enough regardless of the class haha).

Advice

Honestly, I wish I would have taken the time to really dig into the material. The book was online (Redshelf, cheaper than physical copy) and I still own it. It's a great reference material. You can definitely skate by in this class, but to anyone going into horticultural, natural resource, or soil sciences - pay attention because the information you gain in this class is applicable to any other class going forward in your academic career.
