Prof: Christopher Goddard / Fall 2021

I was terrified to take this course because I didn't want to sing, but I ended up loving it, and even the singing was really fun.
There are tests every week on either sight singing, rhythm, or dictation. Students must conduct the right pattern while they do sight singing and rhythm tests. There are also weekly improvisations, which are not as bad as they sound. There are weekly assignments that have to due with ear training, but they allow 10 attempts and take barely any time. No final.
Professor Goddard is great. He made singing in front of other people fun for me, and I thought that was impossible. He really listens to his students, and goes out of his way to help when someone has a problem.
Don't skip class. During every class, there will either be a test or an improvisation due, and skipping class means getting a zero on that assignment. I know the professor will work with you to make it up if he can, but I feel like that's only if you have an excused absence.
