It is definitely one of the more harder COMM pre-reqs. Professor Mullin posted async lectures as well as recorded lectures for students in case they felt sick. It was really helpful to refer back to the videos. The class was large and it was difficult to talk "in-depth" to Prof Mullin when there were several people waking to talk to her in office hours. It was difficult to create, perform, and write a 7-10 pg research paper on our experiment in 10 weeks. There was SO much content to learn but it was really interesting!! Section with the TA is great because they help you the must with your experiment. I withdrew at the end of the quarter due to an average grade (C) on the midterm which made it difficult to pass the course with the grade I needed to get into the major. I loved all the course content I learned. It was a lot, but it was really interesting and applicable to the research aspect of communication. Professor Mullin is also a very outgoing lecturer which made the course content more engaging. Textbook is necessary and also a good resource.

Pro- Outgoing. Happy. Interested in course content. Experienced. Con- Hard to talk to. Makes her course grade only based on a few things.

DO NOT slack on your experiment. You only get a few weeks to work on it and it goes by fast. Study the textbook. Review lectures.
