An alright course, covering some material science and other content which may be of use for some students.
An introduction to material science, building from earlier chemistry. Discusses microscopic structure of various materials, even down to the atomic level, as well as some metal alloying and heat-treatment procedures. Also touches on some material properties relevant to Solid Mechanics (EGM 3601) and Mechanics of Materials (EGN 3331).
Somewhat disorganized, and prone to long rants about the behavior of a few students, wasting several lectures.

Attendance isn’t mandatory but it’s recommended. She gives good lectures.
Definitely focus on being able to do the hw. Understanding what each equation is used for is the key to success in this class.
