this class covers interesting topics such as MNCs, CTAs, hedging strategies, and currency derivatives. I really like the structure of this course, 40% is based on exams and 60% on assignments, and the grading is very fair! all questions are taken directly from the textbook. There’s also a foreign exchange trading assignment, which is quite interesting; you get the chance to trade in the forex market and then write an analytical report. Although attendance accounts for 7% of the total grade, regular attendance is essential! There’s also a presentation at the end of the course. The exam is as difficult as usual, but the grading criteria are quite lenient, so just do your best
from course outline: 1. Explain how a country’s balance of payments and current account may affect its currency value. 2. Conduct simulated trades in the foreign exchange market and explain how currency and currency derivates are traded and quoted, while considering parity relationships. 3. Discuss methods of hedging transaction, economic and accounting exposure, and describe when each of these methods should be used. 4. Discuss international financial institutions, assets and marketplaces, and develop tools to manage exchange rate uncertainty. 5. Analyze financial management practices for the multinational corporation, including cash management and foreign investment.
Steven is a kind and generous person. But, you know, he’s just not very good at teaching...
Take a look at the grading criteria. Attend class. Sometimes Steven will provide hints for the exam; the exam content is exactly the same, only the numbers are different tho
