Course Content

You learn about continous, discrete probability distribution functions and then using those functions you use moment generating functions, sufficient statistics for estimation and then hypothesis testing/confidence intervals. And maxomumum likelihood for estimation. Overall, class teaches essential mathematical foundation for understanding probabilities, their functions, and theorems used for testing

Comments on the professor

He cares about his students, offers extra credit that is added to exam scores, Reviews before the exam. The only downside is his lectures can be slower than the chapter notes and the timelin in general feels a bit slow, but the lectures help

Study at least 3 hours for the, using every practice problem from the weekly sets until the midterm. Some problem sets will appear verbatum on the midterms and final. The midterms were easier than the final. In general, copy all formulas *correctly on crib sheets,
