This was an awesome course for future STEM educators. This course includes an internship at a local middle school and weekly meetings with the class.

I learned useful teaching, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies. The internship allowed me to get experience working with middle schoolers.

Ms. Salim was great. She teaches science at an elementary school and she brought loads of experience to the table. She was funny and caring. During the midst of the pandemic she even set a day aside for the class to check in with each other and relax.

I advise you to try to get as much hands-on experience in your internship as possible. The students will open up to you sooner and that will make it much more fun.
