Professor Katarzyna is an exceptional instructor. She creates a classroom environment that genuinely welcomes diverse experiences and perspectives, and she encourages thoughtful, respectful discussion. She is a very fair grader and deeply caring toward her students, always making herself approachable and supportive. Her passion for human rights is evident in her teaching and makes the course both engaging and meaningful. I learned a great deal and would highly recommend her courses.

My favourite class that I have ever taken at UBC. Kasia is an amazing prof, and the material of the class is so engaging and dynamic.

Amazing! She had very clear expectations, provided incredibly detailed feedback on assignments, and was so enthusiastic about the material that it was contagious.

Readings are a must! Lectures are jam-packed with content but the material is very engaging so it's not too difficult, just time-consuming.

The course explored many inspiring ideas and truly gave each student the opportunity to think about and understand the world in unique ways. I learned a great deal from Dr.Katarzyna and the course.

The course content discussed many social justice issues and topics, exploring different examples around the world. This course was by far one of the most useful courses I have ever taken. I learned so much about the how social justice has played a role in various societies and how it still has an impact on situations occurring in the present day.

Dr. Gracz was one of the most incredible professors I have ever had. She is so passionate and knowledgeable about what she teaches, and genuinely cares about what her students have to say. She makes everyone feel so welcome and creates a space where everyone wants to share their thoughts. I would have taken many more courses with her if I had the chance.

Be prepared to listen and participate. Dr. Gracz's lectures are extremely inspirational and give you a lot to think about, so be sure to listen and do not be afraid to give your opinion.
