Comments on the course

Attendance wasn't madatory for the most part since they were asynchronous. On Fridays they are synchonous but they're also very helpful if you have questions. Ian has been very understanding of circumstances and it was clear what the expectations were. The class itself felt like you were doing a bit of research/report, which helped me understand materials better than textbooks alone.

Advice

The assignments can get tricky if you don't fully understand the concepts. Make sure to review lecture materials and relate them to the assignments.

Comments on the course

Prof McKendry is a likeable prof, and I appreciated his efforts this semester. The course itself was trimmed for the semester, so it may not an accurate long-term representative for this course. All lectures were pre-recorded, and we had live sessions on Friday. The hardest part of this course is definitely the labs, and they can be challenging. However, if you can complete them with your TA you should be fine.

Advice

Use your TAs well. They're quite helpful.

Nice professor.

Advice

Do all the old exam questions they are often reused. Lab grading can be questionable...
