Weird class. I feel like I didn't really learn anything but ended up with decent grades on major papers so it was worth it? Interesting readings for the most part. Rambling lectures that in hind sight I really could have skipped. Prof is very kind and extremely responsive to emails. Offered class wide extensions to for both papers and a chance for bonus marks.

A pretty standard English course, do note that each section has a different theme and a different booklist, so if you're interested in a particular theme/set of books you should see if you can find out which sections read which texts. Dr. Baxter's specialization is in gothic literature so our section was on monsters.

Dr. Baxter is so nice and genuinely enjoys the work that she does and it shows. She is a bit of a harsh grader and says she usually doesnt give anything above a B+ which is the average for her classes.
