Great experience with this course. Assignments were very interesting and not meant to penalize students. Exams were very comprehensive so you definitely need to study up to do well on thosse.
It's a very in-depth introduction to social psychology and other similar fields of psychology. The material covers a lot of different big ideas about the subject. Lots of interesting topics and case studies though that stick with you after the fact.
Prof. Rivers is definitely one of the best profs that I've taken a course with. He does a great job of making lectures super interesting and he is very approachable as he encourages student questions and is open to various ideas. It's clear that he has so much passion for the subject and wants his students to do well.
Read, read, read. The lectures are super interesting but they don't cover everything from the readings in full depth. Make sure that you comb through and find all of the key terms and their definitions, but also make sure that you don't just have those memorized at heart. You have to be able to apply them to certain scenarios on the exam.

Psychology is popular and interesting, esp PSYC 102. But avoid this prof
Focuses a lot on his presentation in lectures which is good, but what's important is the readings that he always gets out late. Needs to be done to follow along in class but when we dont know what to read, what does he expect!?! Skips office hours and ignores questions all the time, starting at midterm 1 when it was too late to drop. I can also tell he rushed designing the exam, questions with half of the vocab words terribly misspelled wrong made no grammatical sense
Not worth your time and energy. *Maybe* it is with a qualified prof

Prof: Dr. David Klonsky / Fall 2020
Dec 24, 2020
Simple course, 2 midterms and a final. Dr.Klonsky is very nice and accomodating. His finals and midterms can be a little tricky with multiple options seeming correct, you have to really read closely. Lectures can be really long in this online format but still manageable.
He talks really slow so you can watch his lectures at 1.5 speed. Be really thorough in the midterms and exams, Always keep up with the reading or it might pile up.
