Material hard and proof heavy. exam question in vague. They may say show your proof, show your steps, or saying state something without mentioning a word about show proof. The truth is does not matter what the question says, they just assume you must show proof. very very very exam heavy. almost 100% of grade is determined by the midterms and final.
covers basic discrete time and continous time markov chain and poisson process. Useful for mtmc method in machine learning and understanding stochastic process overall.
Unreadable handwritten slide and fast pace class. Very confusing material and notation, particularly for ctmc section. You must go to class becasue the way it is taught is very different from other online learning source, don't expect you can self taught on this section.
don't take it unless the it is required by your degree or by the master programs you will apply. If you must, do credit/D/F if you can, or go to class and don't expect any online resource will help you.

This course has some important information, but is not taught well. The notes are unclear, and don't provide enough examples for practice. There is no webwork to get practice.
The prof was very basic. She did a review lecture before the midterm, but there were not enough example problems given by her.
Don't take it until you have to or until they teach this course better.
