Comments on the course

First and only class (so far) where I had to seriously go to multiple office hours. Homework proofs are much more abstract that in math 120/121, yet can be easier to understand. Class average is like an 80, so don't worry about your grade too much, but you WILL work for it. Loved it so much it makes me want to take the more advanced abstract algebra classes. Very useful for math, cpsc, and even phys majors.

Comments on the course

Very difficult but interesting course with cool concepts introduced. Lots of proofs - be very familiar with induction & proof by contradiction.

Advice

Attend all lectures and go to office hours. Our office hours had very high attendance, as most people went to check over answers for weekly assignments.
