Pure memorization. I ended up with a 95 in the course, but put in a decent amount of work. Ignore the comment with a -1 rating, it's not true. I'll just copy paste what I've posted on reddit: Every lecture is approximately 50-60 slides of dense notes. The notes contain all the information you'll need. None of the material is extremely difficult, but there is a lot of it and some concepts definitely take more time to wrap your head around. In the lecture, we basically go over clicker questions and some of the slides are discussed. There are study questions for each module which are key. Every quiz/midterm so far has been very similar to the study questions with some slight variations. Only 3/6 of your quizzes are counted and 2/3 of your midterms. I am currently going into the final with ~...read more

Advice

Lectures are useful for clicker question review, but the lecture notes posted have all the info you really need. Don't go in thinking it's going to be a 1hr/week type of course.

i have no idea what the other person is saying. you're not supposed to use google or notes for any examination with the exception for quizzes. you clearly were relying on this course as a "no effort easy A+ route" and thought you could cheat your way to success. to people who truly want to know about this course, it's pure memorization. there is a ton of reading to do, but if you genuinely try and put in effort and stay caught up, you should expect 80-90. i personally got 90+ and did the final with 1 hour sleep. content wise, i'd say the difficulty is around the highschool level. course load tells quite a different story though. it was probably the most i've ever had to do. i got an A+, but probably wouldn't do it again given the opportunity. great TA in Yulia Agorova, and awesome prof i...read more

Stay on top of your readings! Quizlet could be useful as it is literally pure memorization.

Do not take this course during the pandemic. Went in thinking it would be a bird course because of past reviews. I swear the instructor made the course 10x harder so that people couldn't cheat by googling answers. Entire course is multiple choice but don't let that fool you this is goddamn difficult. I know 3 others that dropped this course with me.
