The class is interesting, the material is great. The professor is smart, but his teaching style is all over the place.

The content was about dynamic program, max flow, and np problems.

The professor is smart, but his teaching style is all over the place. He was difficult to get a hold of outside of class. Later he had an emergency, which now understood the difficult of getting a hold of in class. Some might say he is a great teacher due to circumstances, favoritism, or just understanding his teaching style compared to other teachers, but I disagree.

Pray, have "friends" that actually help, have a "tutor" that won't just take your money. Do not trust "groupme" for advice. Look at youtube and practice outside of class a lot.

The class itself was interesting, but the language used in the class was C++, which was not helpful with projects. I would have preferred doing things in python for learning material in this course.

This course focused on Circular Array, Trees, and linked list. This is all useful, but the way it was taught was hard to understand.

This professor is smart, but his teaching is extremely hard to understand. He is impossible to get in touch with after class and what he says does not always match what he means.

Pray, get some actual "friends" that will help you and not ghost you when you need them, don't depend on groupme because they are also not helpful, and get a tutor that will help and not just one that will take your money and refuse to get back with you to help you, but then will "help" you in another class. Look at youtube, which a lot more helpful than any groupme or tutor.

The course is all over the place. This course only had quizzes and exams as grading leaving no room for getting more points. There was a syllabus, but no schedule. You could do great on the quizzes, but no matter how much you studied for the exam/ understood the material, you still failed. He has failed majority of the class each time for the exam.

Pray and try to either take the class somewhere else or take the class with a different teacher if possible. Read the book and look at youtube videos to understand topics for quizzes, can't say they will help with exams.

Dixon is terrible. The projects were interesting but very difficult - red-black trees, b-trees, binomial heaps. Tests weren't terrible in my opinion.

Good course! Definitely not easy, but teaches a lot of good things and methods of problem solving.

Dixon may seem like a tough professor at first, but he is extremely understanding and has a wonderful teaching style!

Give the professor a chance – you won't regret it.
