Pretty easy course if you actively pay attention to the lecture and read the textbook, which is something I did not do.

I'm not sure what the comment above is talking about regarding random due dates and such. They always post a weekly overview announcement on Brightspace. Due dates are also on the syllabus. The content isn't too bad. Lab reports were a little difficult to answer.

It may just be me, but I found the teaching style of McLucky bad for me. Did not understand his teaching style. He didn't elaborate on stuff and underexplained concepts. Kern was better than Mclucky in elaborating and explaining things in different ways. She also did a better job of doing examples.

Do not underestimate Gen Chem. If you did great in Chemistry in high school and didn't study, as I did, do not make the same mistake here. I underestimated it, thinking I'd easily understand and fly through it just like I did in HS. Due to the lack of studying and attention during lectures for the most part of the year, I did not do as great as I wanted and was too late to fix when I tried. I will be retaking the course because I KNOW I could definitely do a whole letter grade better, or perhaps an A.
