I took 3 different directed readings. They are fun classes where you read chapters of a book (Quiet, Introverts in an Extroverted World was one for example) outside of class, then discuss the themes and ideas during class.

The specific AGR 290 I took was the Deans Scholars Seminar. I took this class as a student and was a mentor for it twice. It was a really fun class that all freshman deans scholars take that introduce them to research topics in the various Purdue Ag departments.

It's a very easy introduction course for the college of agriculture, introducing you to the various departments.
