Prof: Tonglin Zhang / Fall 2024
Apr 23, 2025
This course was not very interesting or difficult. The homework can be tricky as you get later into the semester, but it's a fairly standard introduction to statistics course. Most of my grade came from the two exams (75%), but a practice exam was provided for each that was almost identical to the actual exam. The homeworks are good study tools, but the practice exams are way more useful.
Prof. Zhang was a fairly unengaging lecturer, and I learned most of the content through completing the homeworks. He was not very communicative or kind during class or office hours, but I also did not interact with him much.

Don't let the 500 tag scare you. This is more of a 300 level
Introductory methods for statistics. Very low pressure class. Make sure to participate in class
Prof was very willing to help every time i went to office hours.
It does talk about some multivariate topics but it is not critical for understanding the course. Be sure to know calculus though
