Comments on the course

Definitely one of the harder classes, prof was okay. Was struggling at the beginning but it somehow clicked halfway through the semester

Comments on the course

I enjoyed thermo a lot, especially with Prof Holloway. She made the class really interesting and wanted to make sure we understood everything. Really not as bad as it's made out to be, just stay on top of the homework and you'll be fine

Comments on the professor

One of my favorite profs I've had at Purdue, highly recommend taking it with her if she ever teaches it again

Advice

Go to the tutorial room, talk to TAs/your prof!! I can't stress this enough. The tutorial room saved my life and really helped me understand the concepts while doing the homeworks. Do as many examples and past exams as possible when studying!!

Not as bad as some want you to think it is. Fluids is worse.

Great guy, really smart

Advice

Go to review sessions with whatever is the best prof that semester.

Prof: Tian Li / Fall 2020

Aug 26, 2021

Comments on the course

The course itself is a double edged sword. It’s extremely difficult until you understand it. Once you start to understand problems it becomes a lot easier.

Comments on the professor

It was Tian Li first semester here at Purdue. Her content covered was good but her examples were not helpful. In a course that heavily relies on seeing examples it’s very important.

Advice

How did I get an A? I did 7 practice exams before midterm 1 and studied my *** off for exam 1. Do problems, then do some more. The first exam is very important.
