Comments on the course

This course is useful for giving a basic introduction to the CS major and requirements at Purdue, but the work and lectures are fairly boring and tedious.

Course Content

The assignments are easy, although sometimes time-consuming and repetitive. Guest speakers are often brought in for lectures. Quite a few of the assignments are useless reflection writings on various personality quizzes/surveys/videos, but a couple of them, such as making/reviewing a resume and planning out your 4-Year schedule, are helpful.

Comments on the professor

The professor seemed nice and down to Earth. He's a CS advisor as well, which was nice if you had a quick question about the major or courses but didn't want to make a whole appointment meeting with your own advisor.
