I enrolled in this class as part of my learning community, going in to it prematurely uninterested. However, Thom Stevenson was one of the most charismatic educators I have ever been a student of. The class focuses on group participation and sharing with the rest of class, with an overarching theme being how food, as well as other factors of life, bring humans together, tear them apart, shape history and the future. That's not it though. This class was jam-packed with life lessons I never knew I needed. I highly recommend taking this class not just to fulfill a BRICKS credit, but also to gain a new perspective on education, communication, humanity, and life as a whole.
