This was a required class for me. It was okay considering it is a lecture with intermittent discussion so not too intense.
It is US history from like the 17th to the 21st century. It stays moderately interesting but there is a lot of reading for every class.
Make sure to pay attention because he has a very monotonous voice. And speak up because he struggles to hear. He is a very experienced historian. Class could be more engaging. It is basically just him talking and asking questions sometimes. He's willing to answer any questions and comments students have.
Come to class prepared to voice an opinion/ thought on the reading. The readings are dense so read whenever you have spare time. Don't wait for him to call on you, rather speak up first then you won't have to be called on to answer a hard question.
