This class can be difficult and the only way you're going to do well is if you really make sure you understand the material, don't just memorize things. Dr. Gowdy emphasizes being able to reason your way through things even if you've never talked about some specific question or topic.

I learned a lot from this class about practical applications of horticulture. This is definitely interesting whether you're majoring in horticulture or just interested in plants and gardening. Labs some Fridays in the course were pretty fun and educational.

Dr. Gowdy is a good professor but she can definitely be harsh. Never answer "I don't know," make a guess or she will shame you.
