A very chill course, can be content heavy but it's not too bad if you are on top of the content.

The content of the class was good, I enjoyed the first half of the semester's content. You don't need to use the textbook as most of the content is found on the slides, and some content mentioned in class.

I loved this class and it's because of Dr. Padden's method of teaching. She wants you to do great in her class and she explains concepts really well. She's very inspiring!

Go to the classes, the iClicker participation really helps and can have yyou engaged in actually going to class. I used the slides to make flashcards and study, you seriously don't need the textbook. Also go to the labs and ask your TA for help during lab time!

Pretty easy to get a good mark in. Weekly quizzes that were only marked on completion and discussion posts weekly under 250 words. Midterm and exam are straightforward and should be able to do well looking over the slides. Learn some interesting and useful info about disasters and how to prepare/respond.
