I hated the participation aspect of it because I would participate however I wouldn't see the result in my grade. but the overall class was good you had to attend class and come prepared and ready to participate - the prof was super fun and made class entertaining and the projects were not bad if you put in the time and effort and had an amazing group. i would definitely say start things earlier than you would expect because the work tends to pile up especially at the end.

content was useful - i am not going into marketing but still thought it was good because of the cases its just a good skill to learn.

i like the professor super interesting and fun and he was so nice.

get a good group that you can work with because it makes all the difference you have to push through long hours on call I'm talking 5 hours and more by the end of it to get it all done but in the end if you have a good group you will perform well.

This course was absolutely brutal. I'm pretty sure it's impossible to get an A. During class, you'll do these case studies where you're marked really hard. I'm betting the class average for participation was about 30%. Then there's this huge project where you work with a business to develop a marketing plan. It's sooooo much work.

This wasn't even helpful. I don't wanna go into marketing

I loved Malik as a person. He's super funny. But as a prof his expectations are so unreasonably high (hence why I said an A seems impossible). The man knows his stuff though. During the case studies he blew my mind with the level of his analysis. All in all, I'd actually recommend the guy.

This class is a toughy and there's not really any way to prepare. Good luck.
