The course was interesting if you have an interest in the aging population! Most of the information is common sense, but even so, you learn more about the topic of aging and how older adults are impacted in different ways in our society. The course outline consisted of a midterm, a tutorial class (5 attended classes every other week), a life reflection journal assignment, and lastly, the final exam. The outline is straightforward and fairly marked. The workload is very moderate, but do not leave things to the last minute. The textbook is also optional.
I thought the content was interesting and you definitely learn new things and gain a better understanding of the aging population and topic surrounding death as a whole.
I think the professor was very kind, supportive, and showed a great passion for this course. She was one of the biggest highlights for my personal growth and learning this semester.
1) You don't need the textbook to pass, all information is at lecture 2) Don't underestimate the midterm or exam, make sure you take time to study for it properly. Make sure to pay attention to slides that have charts or just images, sometimes information from those will be added. 3) Word of advice: most of the information she explains WILL be talked about in her lectures (things that are not on her slides). 4) If you're confused about anything, stay behind after lecture and ask questions! She's a fantastic professor who will answer any questions you have. 5) Don't leave your assignment to the last minute: work on it slowly throughout the semester.

Very easy and mostly common sense. you could easily get a 10 without trying and a 12 with a little effort.
im sure she does care a lot about the subject but 99% of the time she just reads off the slides. She also reads very slowly and pauses sometimes for effect? The lectures dont have to be 2h. Realistically they could be 1h but she takes her time lecturing
dont go to lectures. if you commute dont waste your gas

Def an easier course but don't underestimate it. The midterm av was 60-70% so even tho it mostly seems like common sense at least study before the exams
Lectures aren't recorded. If you go in person she will most likely read off the slides and she may give the class a 10 min break half way through lecture. You don't have to go to lecture but at least go to the one before the midterm and exam in case she does practice questions.

This course is EASY! If your a first year looking for a bird then this is the one to take, theres two lectures a week which you do not need to go to she posts all her slides, and a tutorial u have to go to every other week. The content is very boring since it's all common sense but just don't go and look at theories every couple weeks leading up to midterm. If you've ever taken a social science type class then this is an easy 12. Its 2 assignments which are journal entries about times u talked to old people then a midterm and an exam.
super boring
she's nice but redundant and monotoned
take it its easy
