Comments on the course

Boring course but definitely a bird course. The labs were very time consuming and tedious but not very difficult. The weekly quizzes and exam can be found on quizlet. Lecture content had nothing to do with the questions on quizzes or the exams so I don’t even recommend watching the lectures or even taking notes. Discussion questions were easy and minimal effort needed to get a mark.

Comments on the course

Since I am an E&E major I LOVED this course, and for me, it is useful and interesting. For the average person, it may be useful for you in learning more about climate change and processes, and overall gives you more awareness of your surroundings.

Comments on the professor

Very easy to understand follow, accomodating, and patient.

Advice

WATCH THE LECTURES. So much important information about the course is in the lectures. Don't watch them and you don't know what is happening and when.

Prof: Luc Bernier / Winter 2021

Comments on the course

If his other courses are like this one, I would take those in a heartbeat.

Advice

Bernier was very accommodating when I wasn't able to hand in an assignment on time, so don't be afraid to ask for an extension (without penalty) before the due date. Disclaimer: I handed in all my other assignments on time and got good marks on them, so he might have recognized that and may have been accommodating for that reason. Plus, he just seems like a pretty chill and nice person.
