The class itself was interesting. The material is very useful in a CS/engineering field. The prof teaching it was what made it such a difficult course.

C programming principles involving processors. It is very useful to know from a programming perspective.

I think Wang made the course more difficult than it needs to be. His course is very heavy on exams and programming projects, which isn’t bad if there weren’t so many trick questions in his exams. Plus the way gradescope is set up the output has to exactly match what the expected output is. So gradescope is not testing for functionality and you can either get a 0, 50, or 100. I enjoy the material taught but the way the class is taught made it very hard to stay positive.

Study hard, listen to the lectures and prepare for those trick questions on exams. Wang is very uncompromising so it is important you understand the material and start those projects as soon as they are assigned.
