The lab assignments were useful, the lectures and readings were not. The weekly labs can be stressful if you are not extra careful reading instructions and being slef directed.

The course content itself is very interesting and useful if you put enough time into it. In order to get an A, you should expect to devote a lot of time to office hours, readings, lab assignments, and possibly the GIS help desk. You will (probably) have a big research project at the end of the semester with one or two other students.

Prof Estes can be a little hard to get along with, but not horrible. The TAs often have a hard time explaining when you are confused, but they are nice. I recommend messaging the prof or going to the GIS help desk.

If you are continuously struggling with a lab, delete it and restart. Use your resources. Message the TAs and professor.
