Comments on the course

Doesn’t care about students’ understanding the material; doesn’t explain concepts enough for people to successfully grasp. Purposely sets midterms and exam to be more difficult than they need to be. Only helps students he ‘likes’.

Prof: John Rogers / Summer 2016

Comments on the course

Avoid taking this in the summer at all costs (if it’s condensed to 6 weeks) Too much content and lab work for such a short time span. Back then JR was teaching the course with the intention of failing as many students as possible. He made this quite clear. He bragged to the class about failing students.

Advice

Make sure you have your notes from ELEC 2507 handy especially early on. Find friends to work through problems together. Learn all the assumptions and when to apply them — without them most problems are either very hard or impossible to solve.
