The course is a nice intro to major environmental laws passed within the past century. Grades are based on tests, reading quizzes, and three writing assignments. Tests and quizzes are fairly easy, however completing the readings is not easy. Not only are a lot of pages assigned, the readings are so incredibly dry and boring that even the professor agrees. The writing assignments are short and open-ended policy briefs, which is nice if you like researching niche issues.
