Comments on the course

I liked that we didn't have homework per se. Sure, there was a lot of reading but every time the professor would recap everything in class, making the reading itself low-key optional.

Course Content

We read Plato, Locke, Rousseau, Hobbes

Comments on the professor

Professor Bradley was very engaging, he's very invested on the content and he's glad to go over any question we might have on the readings. Overall I really enjoyed him!

Advice

Prep for the multiple choice exams!!!

Prof: Christopher Utter / Spring 2022

Apr 23, 2022

Comments on the course

Required class that is fine. Lot of reading, some of it very dense. Weird requirement for Govt majors but alright overall

Course Content

Philosophy, not particularly political except 2-3 readings

Comments on the professor

Utter is phenomenal. Super forgiving grader, but a lot more reading than other professors. Interesting class discussions and always available outside of class.

Advice

You get what you put in. If you engage with the class, you can gain some interesting ways of thinking. You can get away with not reading until the assignments, but I don’t know how that will affect your participation grade.
