Prof: Philip Johnson / Fall 2025

Concepts are more cohesive than in CHEM1000. More interesting (and relevant) to chemistry lab work.
Reaction rates, equilibrium, acid-base equilibrium, solubility, electrochemistry
Professor Johnson puts an effort into making sure concepts are clear and that students have lots of examples to go off of. The class is very late this year though, and nearing the end he seems like he is getting sleepy. Overall great prof, and provides good support.

As with any other chemistry course, expect to put in the work. It can get difficult.
This course is very logical and consists of problem solving with a bit of math.
Overall, ok prof, however, he over complicates simple topics making it difficult for someone who might struggle with chemistry. Had to rely on external tools to get me through the course.
Do every single textbook problem assigned! Especially the hard ones!
