An okay course. It could be improved with how it's taught in-person but it's fine.

It was somewhat useful but can be quite boring at times. At good way to test the waters of the HR field and similar careers. It seems to have overlap to other first and second year pysch courses and HRM.

Doug Brown was quick to reply to emails but his in-class teaching was unengaging and he seemed to pick the same few people to answer questions each time. One good thing is that his syllabus covers virtually everything in great deal which removes a god chunk of questions.

You don't need the textbook but it will help during midterms (which you have 3 of). Otherwise, if you are okay with 70's on the midterm, you don't need it.
