The curve for this class is harsh, but less harsh than maths 124 and 125 - some people say it's the easiest of the 3 to get good grades in and I agree with that, it was my highest scoring maths class at UW. Exams are not as hard as the other two profs I had - it's easier to study for maths exams with Loveless because of all the resources he gives you.

Andrew Loveless is an awesome maths teacher who really cares about the subject. Cares about students and does what he can to help them pass. I highly recommend him.

Prof. Nichifor is a very nice instructor and the content of the course is pretty good as well. However, the curve is very harsh.

Your grade in this course heavily depends on how your classmates are doing. Thus, I would not recommend taking this course during autumn quarters because there will be many smart people who used AP to skip 124 and 125, this will make the curve very very bad. I got the same percentage score as my friend with the same instructor (she took it during spring), she got a 3.5 and I got a 3.0...

This class is manageable and not too overwhelming. Although the contents can be difficult, doing practice exams will help you do well on the real exams. Dr. Loveless is an amazing professor who really cares about his students. Definitely take this class with him.

Good content and professor. Difficult exams and harsh curve. Requires a lot of effort to get a good grade because of the curve.

when I took this class, most of the material was delivered through mandatory panopto videos recorded by Dr Loveless. He also had optional zoom sessions during the normal class time to go over panopto material and answer questions. (My only complaint was that it took a lot of time to watch the panopto videos and attend zoom classes, so sometimes I had to miss out and skip zoom class). Quiz section was optional but held at the time you registered for on zoom. The exams were not monitored but timed and you submitted your answers and work to webassign. He reviewed our work and gave us partial credit on the exams.

Loveless is great and he goes way out of his way to try to make online learning actually decent
